CAn't see letters or numbers

I’m running Vista and downloaded Magic. When i go to the screen the numbers don’t show up in the life box nor can i click them up or down. Also many boxes I cannot see any writing on tabs and boxes. I loaded a sealed and could not find a place to load deck and could not get out without shutting down the game through the task manager. I am running all the newest files and definitions.
