This is probably one of my more… abstract ideas so far but I think it would greatly benefit board games and some card games on OCTGN.
This table type would be based on the normal table (not 2-sided table) as it is seen through player A (the host)‘s view. Each other player will see a view that’s rotated 90 degrees from the (0,0) origin coordinate of player A’s view. This would simulate the four players sitting around a square game board, as each player will have their own side of the board facing them.
Unlike the two-sided table option, this table will NOT divide the game space between the players. All cards placed normally on the table by a player will appear right-side up only to that player (regardless of where on the table the card was placed) — to the other players, it will appear as rotated accordingly.
To help the player figure out where the other players are “sitting”, the player tabs will have an indicator next to their name. For example, “Player B (right)”, “Player C (across)”, “Player D (left)”.
