I have just recently downloaded OCTGN (Version 0.10.0.0) and the most recent version of the Lobby.
I’m running Windows XP SP3 on a netbook, and I have the .NET framework 4.0.
I was able to run the OCTGN program, build a few decks, and playtest a game by myself. However, when I open the “Start a new game” feature, the page reads
“You seem to be behind a Network Adress Translation (NAT). To be able to host a game, you may need to use a green IpV 6 address, or set up port forwarding on your router.” I’m not very good with computers, so this means nothing to me.
If I select “Use IPv4” I’m able to start a game, load a deck and playtest without problems, but there are never any players in the lobby.
If I try to just run the Lobby program, the frmSplash window opens, but the program just reads “Failed to connect. Make sure you are connected to the internet”.
If I click Connect, the program tries to connect for just a second before returning to the failed connection.
Any ideas on what I need to do to get either program working online?
